#3: Barefoot & Fancy Free

When is the last time you flipped off your shoes and ran through green grass? The sensation of tickling toes by wiggling them in the grass is foreign to feet confined in shoes or feet that touch concrete/tile flooring all day long. Give your feet a mini-mindful moment today!

First, sit or stand comfortably making the intention to dedicate these few moments for this exercise of mindfulness.

Close your eyes for a full breath out, then a breath in through the nose and another slow breath out.

2.) Inhale as you place your foot onto the grass. Exhale again and feel the temperature of the grass, the texture, and nature just beneath you. Stay here with another deep inhale through the nose and slow exhale out of the mouth.

3.)Stay here with another deep inhale through the nose and slow exhale out of the mouth.

4.) Inhale as if you could bring up revitalizing energy from Mother Eart

h into every cell of your body.

5.) Exhale and close your eyes again (if you feel steady). Know that you are connected to all living things.

6.) Lift your toes and splay them feeling the ball mount of your big toe and the outer edge of your foot sink down toward the earth.

Place toes back to the ground to feel your connection to the earth. And take a few more long, slow, smooth exhales.

Namaste!
